Congratulations to Dave Millet and the crew of Locomotion on their "Clean Sweep" — First to Finish, First in Class, First Overall! While no records were broken, DPYC & CBYC's 31st Annual "Around Catalina" Race this past weekend turned out to be near perfect wind conditions. Forecasts were calling for near gale force winds topping out at 40 kts . . . The reality was 20+ with maybe a gust to 30. Unfortunately the wind experts did enough to make people second guess the race and drop out, or head down the coast in the cruising classes. Seventeen boats decided to do the full course and were rewarded with a ride down the backside that was thrilling for most.
