Richard Henry Dana Charity Regatta
The 2023 RHD Charity Regatta is on!   All can donate to the regatta beneficiary, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley There are donation forms in the Club lobby.

As an annual event in the harbor, the Charity Regatta’s mission is to bring together the business, civic and social leaders of our community with its boating members in order to raise money to benefit our community in South Orange County.  This prestigious event promises once again, to be the sailing and social event of the year. Since its inception, the Richard Henry Dana Charity Regatta® has raised over $750,000 dollars for local charities through corporate donations, sponsorships and individual contributions.
Dana Point Yacht Club’s annual Richard Henry Dana Charity Regatta has a rich and proud history of contributing to several of South Orange County’s charitable organizations. This year’s recipient is special because of the transformational impact the organization has on underprivileged youth.

We are pleased to announce that the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley will be this year’s
beneficiary.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley (BGCCV) exists to meet the comprehensive educational, recreational, and social needs of young people in our community, especially those that are socioeconomically disadvantaged, disenfranchised, and marginalized. The mission of the organization is succinctly summarized by its stated commitment to do Whatever it takes to BUILD GREAT FUTURES.  Now serving over 1,200 kids annually, the impact of the club can be seen in the fact that 99% of its Club members graduate from high school with many going on to attend college and to productive careers.

The BGCCV’s programs are fully supported through generous investments of sponsors and members of the community.  We are asking for your help to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley to continue to inspire and enable youth to reach their full potentials, and to gain a greater appreciation of the ocean which is only a few miles from where they live, but often times a world away.
